FoxT Further Integrates Fine-Grained Authorization and Authentication with the Release of BoKS Manager 6.5.3
Mountain View, CA - January 27, 2009 - Fox Technologies, Incorporated (www.foxt.com), a leading provider of centralized access management solutions, today announced the release of BoKS Manager 6.5.3. BoKS Manager is the core security platform for all FoxT Access Control Management solutions.
The new BoKS Manager delivers many operational enhancements including improved directory synchronization and the ability to re-purpose host identities to support virtualization and blade farms. The new release also provides support for several authentication systems including LDAP, Safeword and Siteminder, seamlessly leveraging customer's existing investments into a centralized access controls and audit management solution.

BoKS Access Control Management solutions are used by leading banks, utilities, telcos, and manufacturing organizations to centralize access control and audit management across Unix, Linux, and Windows servers including Virtualized Server environments and diverse business applications. The solution suite also controls delegation of privileged accounts, consolidates audit logs, and centralizes password management to reduce audit mitigation costs, streamline security administration, and greatly reduce the risk of insider fraud.
Other new features in the BoKS Manager 6.5.3 release include:
- Support for LDAP, Safeword and Siteminder 6.0.5 authentication
- Improved directory synchronization: ability to synchronize accounts from multiple directories
- Enhanced audit logging capabilities including SFTP/SCP filename logging, certificate information logging, and keystroke logging
- Ability to configure preferred replicas to optimize load and utilization of networks and servers
- Consistency check for user UID/GID when logging in through BoKS
- Ability to re-purpose host identities to support highly transient and fluid environments such as blade farms and virtualized servers
- Improved event management: user lockouts and password changes can be captured and fed to external systems such as directories
