FoxT Enables Organizations to Further Reduce the Risk of Insider Fraud with the Latest Version of FoxT ServerControl
Mountain View, CA - May 20, 2010 - Fox Technologies, Incorporated, (FoxT), a leading provider of comprehensive Enterprise Access Management solutions, today announced the availability of Version 6.5.4 of the FoxT ServerControl solution.
FoxT ServerControl enables organizations to rapidly implement centralized administration, contextual authentication, granular authorization, and consolidated audit reports across diverse operating system services on any networked device. In particular, FoxT ServerControl provides the ability to securely authorize access to root and other functional account privileges across servers in both physical and virtual environments. Leading financial services, manufacturing, oil and gas, telcos, and healthcare providers are using FoxT ServerControl to satisfy key regulatory compliance requirements, reduce the risk of insider fraud, and streamline IT administration.
The latest release of FoxT ServerControl, Version 6.5.4, enables organizations to seamlessly integrate their existing authentication systems (Active Directory, SecurIDT, SiteminderT, SafewordT, LDAP) into a centralized access management solution. Through a common security console, organizations can now centrally define, manage, and proactively enforce fine-grained authentication and authorization rules across UNIX, Linux, and Windows servers.
In addition to over one hundred functionality enhancements, another major theme of this release is to enhance the operational security and assurance levels of the audit and keystroke log databases.
"FoxT ServerControl's ability to centrally enforce and audit access activities across diverse operating systems has been leveraged in a number of legal cases worldwide to prove in court who attempted to carry out an access action, such that our customers were able to secure convictions," stated Per Eliasson, VP of Engineering. "Changes in the depth of regulation, however, including the EU Data Protection, US HIPPA 2, and other data protection regulations, are requiring a more clear-cut definition of segregation of duties for enterprise security solutions, including the area of keystroke log records. One of our objectives with this release was to enhance our keystroke logging to ensure a level of security that meets changing market demands. "
The 6.5.4 release ensures that security administrators and other privileged users are unable to alter the keystroke log in any way through new delegation methods and enhancements in storage techniques.
"The latest release of FoxT ServerControl shows our continued commitment to leadership in the enterprise access management market," stated Subhash Tantry, CEO at FoxT. "And since the core reasons organizations invest in access management is to ensure security of corporate data and achievement of regulatory compliance, our development efforts will continue to focus on adding capabilities that support those business values."
