FoxT Unveils Enhanced IT Controls Server Platform

Latest release delivers performance improvements and the ability to extend access controls to more of the infrastructure

FoxT IT Controls enables organizations to reduce the risk of unauthorized transactions, protect data integrity, and consolidate audit reporting. The multi-layered identity and access management solution suite includes BoKS ApplicationControl, BoKS DesktopControl and BoKS ServerControl. The integrated solution delivers centralized, rules-based access administration across heterogeneous systems, encrypted network communication, consolidated audit logs, and enhanced desktop security and usability

BoKS Manager 6.5.2 is the newest release of BoKS Manager, the server platform that powers all FoxT IT Controls products. BoKS Manager 6.5.2 takes enterprise access management to a new level of performance and includes the following enhancements:

A raft of performance improvements that enable BoKS access controls to be more effectively and efficiently deployed in larger, distributed networks
Auto-registration and re-registration features that enable you to seamlessly extend BoKS protection to sporadically-used UNIX and Linux hosts including virtual machines and Blade servers - without accruing any extra administrative overhead
New support for offline servers to ensure hosts remain in compliance with security and access controls even if they cannot contact the security servers
A range of enhancements to the BoKS suexec utility that provide even more flexibility when delegating privileged operations and protecting superuser passwords
A new optional SSH Public Key authentication method that enables the use of strong SSH authentication where possible and fallback to other authentication methods where necessary
