FoxT Enhances Desktop Security with Biometric Authentication

New release adds fingerprint-reading capabilities for secure workstation logon

Mountain View, CA - October 23, 2008 - Fox Technologies, Incorporated (www.foxt.com), a leading provider of comprehensive enterprise access controls management solutions, today announced the release of BoKS Access Control for Desktops 6.5.1 Biometric Edition. The new version features support for fingerprint readers and biometric smart cards, giving organizations the ability to leverage biometrics as the second factor for authenticating users when they log into their workstations.

BoKS Access Control for Desktops, part of the FoxT Enterprise Access Controls Management solution suite, is client software that provides secure logon and smooth credentials management for end-users of Microsoft Windows PCs and Linux workstations. Previous versions of BoKS Access Control for Desktops have featured support for passwords, one-time password tokens, and smartcard authentication. The new BoKS Access Control for Desktops Biometric Edition further facilitates usability and security by enabling a desktop user to authenticate using a smartcard in combination with a fingerprint.
