FoxT ServerControl
What does it do?
FoxT ServerControl enables companies to centrally control access across their diverse server domains. The solution's key functions:
- Fine-grained authorization: Access control policies for Unix, Linux, Z-Linux, and Windows servers, both physical and virtual, are centrally defined and enforced through fine-grained authorization rules.
- Centralized user provisioning: The security administrator can instantly provision server access, or block users from accessing a server, through a remote, centralized location and user-friendly dashboard.
- Contextual multi-factor authentication: Organizations can flexibly define how users should authenticate when accessing specific servers including the adaptive use of multi-factor authentication. For example: require basic passwords for servers with a low level of risk, and stronger authentication for higher-risk servers or privileged commands.
- Privileged access management: A unique combination of features for privileged user and account management , including integrated keystroke logging, eliminates the sharing of passwords for day-to-day administration
- Role-based access control: The ability to segregate access down to the file level using extensible role-based access control capabilities which fully leverage and harmonize the diverse RBAC capabilities provided by operation system vendors
- Network encryption: All traffic between servers is encrypted, so all information in transit is protected from unauthorized access.
- Centralized SSH management: Comprehensive, fully integrated SSH distribution including the ability to centrally management SSH at the sub-service level by the type of authorization request.
- Consolidated audit and compliance reporting: All access-related events across the server estate are automatically recorded in a central system log instead of having multiple, scattered audit logs across servers to streamline PCI, SOX, HIPAA, FERC/NERC and other GRC compliance reporting requirements.
- Leverage existing investments in log consolidation and GRC reporting: The system also seamlessly interfaces with your current log consolidation and GRC reporting systems to further streamline audit and regulatory compliance management.
How is it used?
FoxT ServerControl is typically used by organizations to provide a higher degree of access control over diverse server estates. By transforming the multi-vendor server estate, including virtual machines, into one centrally-managed domain, FoxT simplifies your organization's ability to enforce security policies and control access to critical systems and information.
FoxT ServerControl also delivers centralized logs that make the auditing and compliance reporting process much easier. FoxT ServerControl has been used for many years in the financial, telco, healthcare, and manufacturing sectors to protect large server environments processing transactions worth billions of dollars.
What operating systems does it protect?
FoxT ServerControl is available 'out of the box' for all major Unix and Linux operating systems, virtual server environments, and Microsoft Windows servers. The solution currently supports over 60 unique operating systems. Servers of all supported operating systems can be unified in one domain and managed centrally.
